More Quilt-O-Rama

Here are some more photos of the inside of the quilt. I had to use two different fabrics for the backing because I didn't have enough of the yellow animal pattern. The second fabric is of pink and yellow schools of fish

Quilt-O-Rama

This is the quilt I made. I did all the stitching by hand except for once when I used the machine to sew the large back piece together. I started by collecting different fabrics. Most of them are vintage ones I got online, some of them my roommate gave me, and some of them I got as scrape fabric. Then I cut them all into 3 different sized squares. While I was in Germany over winter break I sewed all the pieces together like you can see in the first couple of pictures. When I got back home I bought the fabric I used for the backing, sewed it all together with the machine, and then sewed it together with the front piece along with the batting (the stuff in the middle). I added the horse from an old pillow case of mine. Last but not least I (finally) added the border. It fits on a full bed no problem as you can see in the second picture.

La La La I'm not doing my color charts

In Order: An old reduction print from my woodblock class featuring a polar bear, a recent still life in oil, and a drapery study for the class that I'm not doing my homework for right now.
